Nothing beats the homemade stuff

Hello, DVO Readers!

I’m Catherine, and I’m the co-author of KitchenByte – a rising food blog dedicated to developing and sharing drool-worthy recipes with the world.

I came across a recipe for cheddar garlic biscuits on your website, and you’re right – they DO taste like the ones from Red Lobster.

I noticed the recipe calls for Bisquick (or any other baking mix), and all I can say is:

We’ve all had a box of store-bought Bisquick stashed away in the pantry at one point in our lives.

I mean, let’s face it, that stuff’s super handy and versatile – and everyone needs a little shortcut from time to time!

I know I’ve done my fair share of experimenting to see how far I could go with Bisquick-based recipes:

From my all-time favorite dessert, strawberry shortcake to Bisquick sausage cheese balls and corn and chilly dumplings, I’ve done it all!

However, I recently wrapped up a study about the effects of Bisquick on food spoilage:

I had a nagging feeling all those preservatives were up to no good – and I was right!

So, I’d like you to consider switching to a homemade version of Bisquick – it’s super easy to make, and you can store it in your pantry for emergency baking situations!

You can find my tried-and-true recipes here: The Best Bisquick Shortcake Recipe & Your Complete Guide To Bisquick – All In One!

I was hoping you could check it out and let me know what you think – helpful feedback is more than welcome!

And if you think your readers might be interested in giving the homemade version a try, please consider adding it as a resource link to your article, too.

I’d be over the moon if you did!

Thanks in advance, and I hope to hear from you soon!

All the best,

Catherine Cooper
