March- A Month Full of Fun Food Holidays!
I love to do something special for March 2- Read Across America Day, or Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Books play a big part in my life and I love any reason to celebrate. But there’s actually a whole lot more to celebrate in the month of March! There’s always a fun, obscure food holiday going on, but March really has some of the best!
March 1 is Peanut Butter Lover’s Day. I’m positive I could center every single meal around peanut butter and no one would complain.
March 2 is Banana Cream Pie Day. This pie is so underrated. One of my favorites by far!
March 6 is Oreo Day. I LOVE Oreos. I have too many Oreo desserts I could make for this.
March 7 is Cereal Day. Cereal is such a basic food- but I think it’s one of everyone’s favorite snacks! There’s literally a cereal out there for everyone. I personally love Honey Bunches of Oats and Captain Crunch!
March 9 is Meatball Day. I think it could be really fun to have a meatball buffet! Barbecue, sweet n’ sour, tomato sauce, etc. Serve with noodles and rice to complete the meal!
March 10 is Ranch Dressing Day. I know Jim Gaffigan says that ranch is just buttermilk and sadness, but it’s got its own holiday, so I guess it’s worth celebrating!
March 12 is Milky Way Day. It might be fun to try a variety of Milky Way desserts- or just eat them plain because they don’t need improvement!
March 13 is Chicken Noodle Soup Day. The ultimate comfort food! Definitely a food that deserves its own special day.
March 14- also known as Pi Day! A neighbor of mine hosts a pie night where everyone brings a pie and you get to sample a whole bunch of pie and it’s such a fun night!
March 14 is Potato Chip Day- in case pie is not your thing;). It would actually be really fun to host your own taste test using a bunch of random potato chip flavors. Rate them on flavor, texture, saltiness, and invite a bunch of people and make a party of it!
March 18 is Sloppy Joe Day. Let Adam Sandler serenade you whilst you feast on this classic comfort food!
March 21 is Crunch Taco Day. I will celebrate all the taco days. Crunchy, soft, breakfast- all the taco days.
March 23 is Chip and Dip Day. You could take the taste-off idea one step further by having a variety of chips AND dips!
March 25 is International Waffle Day. Waffles are definitely the superior breakfast food. A waffle bar seems fitting for this day. Belgian waffles are particularly delicious if you want to really have a celebration!
So many delicious foods on this list! Which day do you think is most worth celebrating? Share with us in the comments below!
