Now you can Recover Your Streak!
What?
Now you can use your Cook'n credits to keep your streak alive! Why?
Six years ago, we introduced the first Cook'n Leaderboard. This Leaderboard was designed to encourage you to use Cook'n daily. And, amazingly, some Cook'n users haven't missed a single day since then (Wow! Fantastic! Way to go!). However, some have. For example...A Cook'n user named Nancy contacted us from the hospital to tell us that her multi-year streak was broken when she fell ill. She told her kids to bring her Kindle Fire to the hospital so she could keep her streak alive. But, despite her best efforts, she missed a day and her streak ended.
Naturally, since these were circumstances outside of her control, we helped her by manually restoring her streak. But, we were concerned that she was so worried about keeping her streak alive when her health was at risk!
Another Cook'n user from Texas lost power and Internet access for several days. His multi-year streak was broken as a result.
My long running streak ended in July when I went on a rafting trip in Moab with the youth in my church group because, during our trip, I had no internet for several days. As a result, I could not keep my Cook'n streak alive!
So, the Cook'n Elves put their heads together and came up with a solution!
They noticed that my account had 108 cookbook credits! So, they created a Streak Recovery web page.
Now you can use your Cook'n credits to keep your streak alive!
How?
To recover your streak, just follow these simple steps (see screen recording below):- Click to the Streak Leaderboard
- Click "Jump to Me,"
- Click "Recover My Streak"
- Click "Use one of my credits to recover my streak"
Woohoo!!
Note #1: If the gap between your streaks is more than 30 days, your streak is considered unrecoverable.
Note #2: If you don't have any credits, sign up for a Premium Membership Plan and you will receive one cookbook credit each month that can be used to recover your streak.
Way to go Cook'n Elves!
We hope you love this new feature!
