Apple Pudding

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1/4 cup margarine
1 egg
3 apples chopped, unpeeled, tart
1 cup flour plus 1 tablespoon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup nuts chopped
* Part two.
1/2 cup butter real
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup evaporated milk undiluted
pinch salt
2 tablespoons

Directions:

Blend the sugar, margarine and egg. Add the remaining ingredients. Put in a greased and floured 7" by 11" pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until done. Serve with the following warm sauce:

*Heat the butter and sugar over hot water first, then add the milk, vanilla, salt and "Karo" syrup. Stir until very hot.
