3 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1 teaspoon chicken bouillon
Salt and freshly ground pepper

In a small saucepan melt butter or margarine. Stir in flour. Cook and stir over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes. Add milk and bouillon. Stirring over medium heat, bring to a boil and boil until thickened. Add salt and pepper to taste; remove from heat. Use for Spinach-Filled Super Shells or over cooked vegetables.
