Preheat oven to 350°. Heavily grease four 5 3/4 x 3 1/4 x 2-inch foil loaf pans. Onto waxed paper, sift together flours and salt.
In a large bowl, blend buttermilk, molasses and baking soda. After the mixture foams, stir down and add flour mixture, stirring just until moistened.
MW Pour about 1/2 cup of the batter into each pan sprinkle 1 1/2 tablespoons raisins in each pan. Pour another 1/2 cup of the batter into each pan. Sprinkle about 1 1/2 tablespoons raisins in each. Gently top each pan with the remainder of the batter, smoothing top. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool slightly in pans and serve warm or cool completely, cover pans with foil and refrigerate. Reheat covered in a preheated 350° oven for 20 to 30 minutes if desired.
MW To Microwave: Into a 2-cup glass measuring cup, pour about 1/2 cup batter sprinkle 1 1/2 tablespoons raisins in cup. Pour another 1/4 cup batter into the cup. Sprinkle another 1 1/2 tablespoons raisins into cup. Gently top with 1/4 cup batter, smoothing top. Cover tightly with plastic wrap. Microwave at 50% power (360 watts) for 5 minutes or until no longer doughy, rotating cup 1/2 turn after each minute. Remove from oven, cover with foil and let stand for 5 minutes before unmolding. Repeat 3 times with remaining batter.
