Chocolate Syrup

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

In medium saucepan combine all ingredients but vanilla. Bring to boil lower heat and simmer 5 minutes. Add vanilla. Store in covered jar in refrigerator to use for making cocoa or chocolate milk.

Variations
Hot Chocolate: Stir 1 or 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup into each cup of hot milk or according to taste.

Chocolate Milk: Stir 1 to 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup into each glass of cold milk or according to taste.
