Creamy Oyster Stew

Ingredients

1/2 cup clam juice bottled
6 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 tablespoon chili sauce
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 pint oyster fresh
1 cup half and half
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon paprika

Directions:

In a medium saucepan combine clam juice, butter or margarine, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt and hot pepper sauce blend well. Stirring over medium heat, bring to just under boiling.

Add oysters reduce heat to low and cook until edges curl. Stir in half-and-half and milk heat through (do not boil).

To serve, sprinkle with paprika. Serve with oyster crackers or toasted English muffins.
