Place cucumbers in a medium bowl sprinkle with salt. Cover and chill at least 30 minutes. Drain liquid. Stir in onion.
Meanwhile, stir together sour cream, lemon juice, dill, sugar, and pepper. Stir into cucumbers. Taste for additional salt.
Serve with Seattle Salmon Steaks or poached salmon and boiled new potatoes.
