Gently press flour tortilla into a 1 1/2 -quart microwavable dish allowing sides to form rounded folds.
Pierce bottom and sides of tortilla with a fork in 4 or 5 places to allow steam to escape and prevent bubbles. Place a microwavable custard cup or small bowl in center of tortilla. Microwave at 100% power (700 watts) for 1 minute. Pierce any bubbles with a fork. Rotate dish one-fourth turn. Microwave at 100% power 1 minute longer or until edges are dry.
Remove molded tortilla from dish. Cool upside down on a wire rack before filling with salad.
Best used the same day.
Note: To make two tortilla bowls at the same time, total cooking time at 100% power is 4 minutes, rotating each bowl one-fourth turn after 2 minutes. For best results, dishes should be at least 1 inch apart and not touching sides of the microwave oven.
