Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Cut the bread into 1-inch-thick slices without cutting through the bottom crust.
In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Dip a basting brush into the mixture and paint it liberally into the slices of bread.
Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until heated through. Open the foil and bake for 2 to 3 additional minutes to crisp the top. Serve bread in a basket wrapped in a cloth napkin to retain the heat.
