Open-Face Roast Beef and Gravy Po-Boats

Ingredients

1 (5- to 6-pound) beef pot roast
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 (10 3/4-ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
1 (1-ounce) package onion soup mix
1 cup hot water
1 loaf French bread

Directions:

Put all but bread in crockpot and cook on high 3–4 hours or on low 8 hours. Remove roast to platter, cover and chill at least an hour (or overnight) for easier slicing, but good right away. Put split bread sections on plates, top with roast slices, and spoon on the gravy.
