1. In a medium-size bowl, combine the tahini, water, vinegar, and tamari; mix with a fork until thick and creamy.
2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix again. If the spread is too dry, add another tablespoon of water. Serve as a spread in sandwiches or on crackers.
*The carrot needs to be grated by hand. A food processor will not grate it finely enough. Most four-sided hand graters have grating surfaces in two sizes. It may take a minute longer, but using the fine side will make this spread come out best.
**Nutritional yeast gives this spread a much richer taste.
