Ingredients

4 whole wheat pita bread or 1 ready made pizza crust
1/3 cup barbecue sauce
1 small onion sliced into rings
1/2 red bell pepper seeded and cut into strips
1/2 green bell pepper seeded and cut into strips
1 (8-ounce) can pineapple tidbit in its own juice, well drained
1 cup shredded reduced fat mozzarella cheese

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 425°.
2. Spread sauce evenly over pitas or crust.
3. Layer all ingredients minus cheese on pitas or crust. Reserve pineapple juice for another use.
4. Sprinkle cheese evenly over pitas or crust.
5. Bake until cheese is melted, 10 to 12 minutes.
6. Meanwhile, make Crunchy Apple Salad. Serve one pita per person or cut pizza into 8 slices.
