Blend together crumbs, sugar, salt and butter; set aside one cup of mixture for topping. Press remaining mixture into an ungreased 13"x9" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, until golden. Let cool. Melt chocolate in a double boiler; spread over cooled crust. Layer with marshmallows, pressing gently into warm chocolate; top with reserved crumb mixture. Broil 2 inches from heated broiler until marshmallows are lightly golden. Let cool; cut into squares.
Tip: Bake up some cookie bars, then cut, wrap and freeze individually. Later you can pull out just what you need for a last-minute picnic.
