stuffed dates in marinara sauce


Serves: 2

Ingredients

8 pitted medjool dates, unsoaked
3 tablespoons Walnut Pâté (recipe found in Dips, Pâtés, And Savory Sauces chapter)
2/3 cup Marinara Sauce or Middle Eastern Marinara Sauce (recipes found in Dips, Pâtés, And Savory Sauces chapter)

Directions:

Equipment:
measuring spoons
measuring cups
small saucepan
wooden spoon

Stuff each date with about 1 teaspoon of pâté. Press the date halves back together around the pâté. Put the sauce and the stuffed dates in a small saucepan. Warm for 2 to 3 minutes over low heat, stirring gently, until the sauce is warm to the touch. Serve immediately.
