In a medium sized bowl combine the corn meal, whole wheat flour, salt, and baking powder. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix until just wet and blended. Pour into 12 muffin cups. Bake @ 400° for 12-15 minutes. Muffins are ready when they are just beginning to turn a golden color. Do not over cook or they will be dry and crumbly. These are absolutely delicious served with honey or jam.
