Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the egg white and sugar in a small mixing bowl and beat with a handheld beater on medium speed until foamy. Add the walnuts and blend well. Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet into a 9- by 7-inch rectangle (it does not have to be exact) and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until brown. Cool completely. Break the meringue into pieces or cut into triangles. Store in an airtight container for up to four days.
