Christmas 7 Layer salad

Serves 15

Recipe by Kathy Oaks

   2 heads lettuce
   1 cup chopped celery
   1 cup chopped green onions
   1 1/2 packages frozen peas, thawed
   1 cup chopped carrots
   2 cups mayonnaise
   6 tablespoons sugar
   6 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
   10 slices cooked and crumbled bacon

Layer in order in a 9x13 pan or 2 trifle dishes. Chill 8 hours.
