Marinade:
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 garlic clove, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons onion salt
1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
1 1/2 teaspoons oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin, ground
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon red pepper
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 pound chicken or steak, cut into strips
1/2 cup cilantro leaves, minced
1/2 cup onion, sliced
1/2 cup tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, sliced
3-4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup green onions, thinly sliced
8” flour tortillas (homemade is delicious!)
guacamole, optional
sour cream, optional
Mix together the first 11 ingredients (all ingredients listed before
“chicken”). Add chicken, cilantro, tomatoes, onions, and peppers.
Marinate for 3 hours or overnight. When ready to sizzle, heat 3-4 T.
oil in a 10” skillet. Pour in the meat mixture (don’t drain). Stir and
cook for about 5-8 minutes or until meat is done. Remove from heat and
toss in 1/2 cup thinly sliced onions. To serve, roll up into 8” flour
tortillas. Garnish with salsa, guacamole or sour cream as desired.
