1. In medium bowl, combine half recipe of fondant, cherries, almond extract and food color knead on cookie sheet until well blended.
2. Roll fondant into rope about 1-inch thick. Cut into 1/4-inch slices place on cookie sheet. Cover with waxed paper let dry at least 3 hours. Garnish with almond slices. Store in tightly covered container in cool, dry lace.
