Cook'n is a great recipe organizer. As you browse the Internet, you will find lots of web sites that have good recipes. Many of our customers ask us if there is an easy way to get these recipes into Cook'n.
One day, we hope that all recipes posted on the Internet will have a link to a downloadable Cook'n file...similar to the recipes on our site. Until then, the best thing to do is to just copy (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) the text into Cook'n. Simply create a new recipe and type in the recipe name. Then, paste the recipe text from the web site into the Instructions for Preparation section of the Cook'n Recipe Window and you're done.
If you want Cook'n to adjust recipe serving sizes, analyze the nutritional value of the recipe, or make a shopping list for this recipe, you must enter the ingredient information by hand. Compared to the time it takes to enter the rest of the recipe, this part is very quick. If you don't care about these features and just want Cook'n to catalog the recipe text, then just paste the entire text into the Instructions portion of the recipe and that's it.
Have Fun!
