Grape Jelly in Your Spaghetti Sauce?
When using canned tomato sauce, you still get the acid. To cut the acid most people use sugar, which only makes the sauce taste sweet. To get the sugar, but not the sweet taste I use grape jelly (NOT JAM). This is especially good for people who have stomach or reflux problems. It cuts the acid without changing the taste of the sauce. I learned this from my mother while I was growing up.
