Should Christmas be Outlawed?
They're trying to take "Merry Christmas" out of Christmas now. They're insisting that it be replaced with "Happy Holidays."
Brent in the office here told me that he read a chain e-mail message encouraging people to boycott Target this season for doing this and that their stock has dropped 7% since then.
Amendment I in the Contitution affords us "Freedom of Religion" not "Freedom from Religion"
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
When I read the Constitution, I know how I understand it...but I'm curious to know what you think. Should Christmas be Outlawed? Should stores stop saying Merry Christmas for fear of a law suit or for fear of offending someone?
Should people support the stores that stand up for the things they believe in (whatever that may be) and boycott those that do not?
What do you think? Cast your vote and let your voice be heard!
Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and God Bless America!
Dan
