Parrot Safe?

I didn't really know the answer to this question...but I thought I'd share it in case any of you did. The other reason I am sharing it is because I thought it was interesting. It is a good example of the wide variety of questions we get here at DVO!

I have a question about silicone cookware but I don't know who I need to ask. I am hoping you may be able to answer my question or tell me who I need to ask. I have a parrot and I cannot use pans that have nonstick coating on them because when they are heated over 400o the nonstick coating give off fumes that are deadly to birds. So my question is do you know if silicone cookware gives off harmful fumes when heated? If you are not able to answer this question I would be greatful if you could tell me someone I might ask.
