Freezer Meals?
Had a question about your Cook'n Freezer Meals. Do you include info on how to package and reheat the meals?
My main concern is being able to package to meals (as whole meals, or as plates, or as each part of the meal?). Also proper reheating of each part.
Thank you for your time

Hi Don,
Each recipe in the software gives basic wrapping and baking information. For example, these excerpts come from three different recipes:
Example 1
Cover with foil; label and freeze. Place 1/3 cup reserved cheese in a freezer bags and attach to each casserole with tape.
To serve, thaw casserole in refrigerator or microwave. Bake at 350°F. for 25-35 minutes. Sprinkle reserved cheese over top of casserole. Continue baking for 10 more minutes or until casserole is hot and bubbly and cheese is melted.
Example 2
Cover with foil, label and freeze.
To serve, baked thawed casserole at 350F for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly.
Example 3
In a large freezer bag, combine red wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, vegetable oil, and minced garlic cloves. Place steak in the bag, seal, and shake to coat. Label and freeze. Bundle with 6 pita breads.
When ready to prepare, thaw steak in marinade. Thaw pita breads. Make cucumber sauce by mixing peeled, shredded cucumber with the yogurt. Chill until ready to serve. Grill thawed meat on the grill or under the oven broiler until medium rare. Slice steak against the grain into thin strips. Warm and open the pitas. Stuff with steak and shredded lettuce. Top with cucumber sauce.
In addition, prior to compiling these recipes for this software, I wrote a newsletter article on freeze-ahead meals. You can access the general rules, guidelines, wrapping, and thawing tips to help you with all the recipes on the software by reading this article.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page for links to the different articles.
Hope this helps,
