St. Patrick's Day Comments?
I received a number of comments from the St. Patrick's Day Ideas e-mailer. Here are some of the interesting ones:
Thanks for the great letter...now that I volunteer at my son's school...we did the whole green eggs and ham bit for Dr Seuss bday!!! Ever watch "fear factor" it was the same reaction but the kids loved it.
We made some Leprechaun crafts for St. Patties Day and the Leprechaun stopped by my house and made some dark devils food cupcakes with green mint frosting for all the kids...it was great!
Have a great one!

Hello,
Growing up every St. Patrick's Day morning (until I graduated from high school and yes even as an adult when I was home) my dad made something green every year. ...green eggs, fried, scrambled, poached (that was sorta gross) yes even green french toast, pancakes, oatmeal or cream of wheat.
My dad worked alot of hours, on call etc. but he made "sam I am green eggs and ham" very special in our house! By the way, my dad is full blooded Danish! ...mom is Irish so she must have rubbed off on him.
Happy St. Patricks Day!
Donna
Too funny..the green eggs and Ham recipe...
My kids' favourite book.. along with Marvin K.Mooney Will You Please Go Now!:
Do you really need all that sugar with pineapple?
Here is what I make:
Lime Sherbet Punch
This quick easy St Patrick's Day recipe is delicious and a cinch to make.
1 quart lime sherbet
2 quarts Sprite or Ginger Ale
Pour Sprite or ginger ale in pitcher or punch bowl. Add scoops of sherbet and serve immediately.
This looks lovely for St Patrick's Day' as I use a punch bowl and is great tasting.
What am I having for St Patrick's Day..well the menu is below:
Gravlax as the appetizers ( I know but it's salmon and homemade) Mini Yorkshire homemade CornBeef Soda Bread Irish Stew then something green.. coleslaw, broccoli salad , spinach salad..don't know yet! Then a trifle with green stuff in it ..kiwi fruit..maybe green Jell-O..don't know yet!!!
