Monkey Bread
Hi!
I was just wondering if you could send me the receipe for "Monkey Bread" that you and your wife showed on the introduction when I opened my DVO cookbook. I can't find it in the catagories anywhere. The ones I have found aren't the same as the recipe in the demo. It used "Agave" and I gave my copy thinking I had it already & didn't. I would sure love it if you could do this for me.
Thank You again so very much..
Sandy
Hi Sandy,
Here is the monkey bread recipe you requested. If you prefer to use sugar, use 1 cup sugar instead of Agave.
Hope this helps,
Desi @ DVO
Monkey Bread
2 loafs frozen whole wheat bread dough, thawed
1 stick butter
3/4 cup agave
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
In a sauce pan heat butter until melted. Add agave and stir until completely mixed together. Tear off bite size pieces of dough and throw them in the bottom of a greased bunt pan, just enough to cover the bottom. Layer bread, syrup, and cinnamon three times. Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes until golden brown on top. Flip onto serving tray immediately and remove bunt pan. Careful juices are hot. Best served hot!
