4 pounds pork spare ribs
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1 dash black pepper, ground
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 cup chili sauce
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/4 cup rum
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine brown sugar, ketchup, pepper, mustard, chili sauce, garlic, rum, worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. Pour over ribs. Marinate at room temperature for 1 hour or refrigerate overnight.
Cut sparribs into serving size. Wrap ribs in double thickness foil and bake for 1 1/2 hours. Unwrap and drain drippings. Grill 4 inches above coals for 30 minutes. Turn and baste often.
