Apple Crunch
Serves 6
Ingredients:
2 cups flour1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 cups chopped apples
1 cup raisins (optional)
1 cup chopped nuts
Blend flour and spices. Set aside. In a mixing bowl beat eggs, sugar and vanilla until creamy. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk and beat until well blended. Stir in apples, raisins and nuts. Mix throughly. Pour into a greased 9 x 9-inch baking dish. Bake at 350 degreesF for 30 to 35 minutes.
