Pizza Pasta and Other Quick Fixes
By Sydney Hill
I scream, you scream, we all scream for...Pizza? There are a lot of pizza fans out there, but we don't always have time to make a large gourmet pizza, or have the money to get one delivered. But that's what they want for dinner. Sometimes, you've just got to say no. But what if you really want to say yes? Here's some ideas to satisfy the pizza munchies.
This can be a fun family activity for everyone to make their own pizza. They can choose whatever they want to top it. Substitute any toppings you want in the following "recipes". Use barbeque and chicken. Make a three meat with sausage and bacon, a combo with all the veggies, a BLT pizza, a tomato basil, or better yet: alfredo!
Pizza Pasta
Okay, it's pretty much spaghetti. But with a fun name like that, it can be whatever you want it to be. Throw on pepperonis and olives. Or some ham and pineapple. Make it fun.
Pizza Tortilla
This is extremely cheap and fast, but everyone gets a mini pizza to themselves!
Pizza Pocket
Use some dough, then fill it with goodness.
Pizza Swirl or Braid
Pretty, too!
Pizza English Muffin or Bagel
They're close to the same thing, but not quite.
Pizza Toast
This option allows for wheat bread if you want it.
Pizza French Bread
You might have seen this classic before.
Pizza with Frozen Dinner Rolls
Set out to thaw a couple hours before preparation. Flatten each roll with your palm, spoon with sauce, and add toppings. Try to do one at a time as they start to shrink up. They don't shrink as much once topped with goodness. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes until lightly browned and cheese is melted.
