Mummy Never Looked So Good!

This time of year is all about the sweets… but there are other ways to be festive and have fun doing it! And one of the best ways is through spooky food ;). Let’s talk about mummies specifically! Mummy food is so easy to create, and you can sneak a little nutrition to your little ones as well! Here are some cute ways to incorporate this idea:

These mummy kebabs are so cute! And so original! I’ve seen all kinds of different variations of mummies, but this one is definitely unique! And it would be so easy to tailor this to your kids’ tastes by switching out the cucumbers and other components. These would be fun for kids to assemble as well!

These are not only super adorable- they also have my mouth watering! These might require a little more time than the kebabs, but good food is totally worth the wait, right? ;) If your kids don’t do well with spice, try using red peppers instead!

Most kids are a fan of hot dogs, so this is a great option for your picky eaters! These are particularly fun with the legs and arms cut out, but these would be just as adorable if you just kept them as single little logs and wrapped them in dough. Finish them off with a couple dots of ketchup for eyes!

Ok, maybe we’ll incorporate a few sweets ;). White chocolate is always amazing, but it’s especially great at transforming any sweet into an adorable mummy! I love the shape of these Nutter Butter mummies, but you could do the same thing with Twinkies, cake pops, brownies, cookies, gingerbread men, chocolate bark, Oreos, cupcakes, etc. There really is never such a thing as too much white chocolate, right? ;)

If you’d like to be festive but want a little less sugar, these apples would be SO easy and they’re a cute and healthy way to stay festive! I think my kids would get a huge kick out of these!

Pizza is almost always a safe bet, right? Especially when it comes to kids! You can easily transform a pizza into a festive mummy by using a few strips of dough or slices of cheese! You could do this with just a regular pizza, but I also really love these tiny pizzas! (And it would be a lot easier to cover the whole pizza if you’re serving them in smaller portions!)

I love the simplicity of this idea. Tape- no extra cooking!! And really, you could adapt this to all kinds of things! Juice boxes, Capri suns, granola bars, soda cans, pudding cups, fruit snack packages, etc.

I hope this gave you a few ideas to use for your Halloween festivities!
