10 Ways To Use Ice Cream Cones- Without The Ice Cream!
Summer is here! Bring on the ice cream and popsicles!! And of course, the ice cream cones ;). But what do you do when you have too many ice cream cones? Well, let me tell you!
*Pie is pretty great as it is… but try putting it in a cone! Forget about the crust and just put your favorite pie filling in cones (and top it with ice cream if desired!), or you can go all out and make your own pie crust and use that for the cone!
*Ice cream cupcakes! Cupcakes are just messy to eat anyway, but put it in an ice cream cone, and it becomes an adorable mess ;). You can top it with frosting or whipped cream- but of course, don’t forget the sprinkles! You could also use brownies, cheesecake, or any baked good for this cute idea!
*Pudding cups. I am a BIG fan of pudding. And now, you don’t even need a spoon to enjoy it! Simply put it in a cone and you’re good to go! Plus, you get the added crunch;). Bonus points if it’s a chocolate dipped cone!
*Yogurt holder! Yogurt would be even more fun to eat in a cone, would it not? Top with fresh fruit for a truly delicious snack!
*And speaking of fruit, you could create fruit cups! Fill with raspberries, strawberry slices, diced mangos, or whatever fruit you’re craving at the moment. Definitely a healthier sugar rush than ice cream!
*Cones make the ultimate snack holder because they are a snack themselves! Flavored popcorn, trail mix, pretzels, whatever you’re wanting to munch- an ice cream cone would be the perfect edible container!
*Rice Krispie treats. The perfect dessert that will fit any shape! You can use regular rice krispies or use Fruity Pebbles for a really colorful (and tasty!) treat!
*Take those cones on your next campout! Fill your cones with all your favorite s’more fixings- chocolate chips, marshmallows, caramel sauce, etc, and cook them over the fire til they are a melty delicious, perfect treat!
*Think outside the cone! Who says the ice cream cone has to stay a cone? Crush them up and use them as a pie crust base, add them to a yogurt parfait, add them to your favorite granola recipe, sprinkle them on top of your baked goods, or even use as a unique covering for your breaded chicken!
*Cover the cone in peanut butter and birdseed and let your feathery friends have a little treat outside! Hang it up on a tree with pipecleaner and watch for visitors :).
I don’t know about you guys, but I feel super inspired! And super hungry! Do you have any creative uses for ice cream cones you could add to this list? I’d love to hear all about it!
