Sneak Peek at Cook'n 15 Home Page with Likes!
The Cook'n Elves have been working hard on the next Cook'n 15 update (if you haven't upgraded to Cook'n 15 yet...do it today!). Would you like a Sneak Peek at some of the newest changes?
As you can see in the following screenshot, we decided to go with five Recently Made recipes instead of six on the Cook'n Home Page. That way, each food photo can be slightly wider which makes the image more appealing. It also reduces the amount of text wrapping which makes the recipe name easier to read (note: you can click this image to zoom in).
We also removed the recipe Description text from Recently Made recipes as well which makes the recipe names easier to read and makes them look less "cluttered." I think that's a nice improvement. What do you think?
You may also notice the new "Like" button at the bottom of each Recently Made recipe card. That's right! Now you can "Like" recently made recipes!! Get ready for likes!!!
The thumb icon on the left-most recipe that is filled in appears that way because it has been "Liked." We think this is going to add a really fun dynamic to recipe sharing. In addition to adding a fun social element to Cook'n, being able to see a list of the "Most Liked" recipes will also be a great way to discover yummy new recipes!
As I mentioned during the LIVE Cook'n Version 15 Release Event, Cook'n users will often BROWSE 10 recipes before CAPTURING 1. And, they will often CAPTURE 10 recipes before MAKING 1. So, the new "Recently Made" recipes is a great way to find the best of the best recipes. And, the list of "Most Liked Made" recipes (coming soon!) will show you the best of the best of the best recipes!! That's what I'm talkin' about!!
Finally, you may have noticed that the Scoreboard in the top right corner expanded from two items to four! In addition to tracking "Made" recipes and your "Streak," there is a new category for "Likes" and "Liked." And, clicking any of the items on the Scoreboard will open the Leaderboard where you can see, among other things, those who have the most "Likes" and those who have "Liked" the most recipes. You will be able to see who has the most "Likes per Recipe Made" too...and much more besides!
And, all of this information will soon be aggregated together to one main Leaderboard called "The Chef Score!" That's right! Do you think you're just an average cook? Well, maybe not. You might just end up at the top of the Chef Score leaderboard!
Keep your eyes peeled for an update coming in the next 7 days or so!!
