While browsing some recipe websites in Cook'n, we noticed that an annoying video ad would appear and consume the entire screen (as you can see in the screenshot above). After tapping the X to close the video, to our surprise, the video would reappear again and again! Here is an example of what was happening


My wife, Kathy, pointed this out to me. She discovered this while using Cook'n. Also, we received a couple messages from Cook'n users who expressed some frustration with this as well. And, it was understandable! This behavior was new and it was super intrusive and annoying!! Apparently, some users thought those were Cook'n ads that they were seeing.

We've never experienced this problem before and it seemed like it was happening with many websites. So, we put the Cook'n Elves on the task.

They discovered that this is not a Cook'n-only problem. We experienced this problem in other apps too including X (formerly Twitter). And, as it turned out, this was actually the result of a bug in the newest version of iOS.

Finding a solution was not a simple endeavor and it took quite a while. But, as you know, the Cook' Elves are AMAZING! We just released an update that resolves this issue. We hope you like the new update!
