Message from an old Cook’n member

QUESTION:

"As I was having breakfast, I read your Signs of Pride article. When I was ready to start my morning prayers, I realized that when you were prompted with your poster to share, I thought "I’m prompted to write this to you."

It’s been years that I have been a member of Cook’n. In fact, I think one of the times I remember your daughter was going on a mission trip I believe and I remember praying for her.

Through the years I’ve been so pleased with not only your program, but also the wonderful support that you offer. The tech support may not be live over the phone because probably of your growth, but there’s never a time that I haven’t received great help. And through the years, I’ve never felt that you became proud, but you still seem to be very humble.

Although I am of a different religion, I so appreciate your, what I would call, evangelization when you share your faith. I believe our world needs that!

I probably don’t use the Cook’n application as fully as some of your members, but I so enjoy and share it with many people. In fact, my husband actually uses it. he received a KamadoJoe as a gift, and he now has his own recipes under a cookbook called Kamado Joe in my Cook’n.

It’s obvious that you have the ability to share God‘s word with so many people and I commend you for all that you do! May you continue to do God‘s work in all that you do!

God bless you and all your family!

ANSWER:

Thank you so much for taking the time to send me such a nice message. It's so great to hear from you!

Thank you so much for praying for my daughter, Brennah, while she was on her mission. And, thank you for acting on the prompting you received during your morning prayers!

The truth is, I didn't get much of a response from that Signs of Pride article and I wondered if I should back off my "evangelization." If you hadn't prayed and received that prompting and acted on it, I might have backed down. But, your message of encouragement really helps!

We are constantly bombarded by negative, worldly messages. I think we need more messages of faith and messages that encourage us to follow Jesus!

Thank you again for your support!

God Bless!

Dan
