_ cups buttermilk baking mix
_ cup milk
_ egg large
_ tablespoon sugar
___ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Chocolate syrup (optional)
In a medium bowl, whisk together baking mix, milk, egg, and sugar until smooth.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Heat a heavy skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Grease lightly. Using about 1/4 cup batter for each pancake, pour batter into skillet in shape of a heart and cook until bubbles appear on surface and edges are dry. Turn and cook until bottom is golden brown. Place cooked pancakes in a warm oven until ready to serve.
Serve with chocolate syrup or syrup of your choice.
Note: If your prefer, make round pancakes and use a 4-inch heart-shaped cutter to make heart pancakes.
