Oriental Asparagus

Ingredients

1 pound fresh asparagus cut in 1-inch pieces (about 4 cups)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 (8-ounce) can water chestnut sliced, drained
1/2 cup celery thinly sliced bias-cut
1 (4-ounce) can mushrooms mushroom stems and pieces
1 tablespoon soy sauce

Directions:

* Cooking Time: 7 1/2 to 9 1/2 minutes Power: 100% (700 watts) Standing Time: 10 minutes In a 1-quart microwavable dish, place asparagus and butter. Cover with a glass lid or plastic wrap, turning one edge back. Microwave at 100% power (700 watts) for 1 1/2 minutes.

Stir in water chestnuts and celery. Re-cover and vent. Microwave at 100% power for 3 to 4 minutes.

Stir in mushrooms. Re-cover and vent. Microwave at 100% power for 3 to 4 minutes or until asparagus is tender.

Stir in soy sauce. Cover and let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
