In large saucepot, melt butter over medium heat. Cook leeks, carrots, and celery 5 minutes, until slightly tender. Add broth, water, wild rice, barley, and thyme. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low cover and cook 30 min. Add mushrooms and turkey. Cook uncovered 10-15 minutes more, until rice is tender. Stir in cream and pepper and cook 2 minutes.
