1. Place all of the ingredients in a food processor, and pulse until well combined. The olives should be finely minced, but should not be as smooth as a purée. If you don’t have a food processor, mince the olives by hand and combine with the remaining ingredients.
2. Serve at room temperature with crusty bread or any bland crunchy crackers. The tapenade itself is richly flavorful and should be the star of the show.
