Preheat oven to 350°. Grease an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan or spray with non-stick coating. Spread granola evenly in pan set aside.
Unwrap caramels. Place on a cutting board and cut into quarters with a heavy knife. Sprinkle over granola. Bake for 10 minutes or until caramel pieces are very soft. Remove from oven.
Stir granola and caramels to coat granola. Add applesauce and mix well.
Spoon apple mixture into dessert dishes. Serve hot or at room temperature with whipped topping.
