Lemon Sponge Pie

Ingredients

1 9-inch baked pie shell
1/4 cup lemon juice fresh
2 tablespoons lemon peels grated
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
3 eggs separated
2 tablespoons margarine
1 cup milk

Directions:

Heat oven to 325° F. Blend together lemon juice and rind, sugar, flour, egg yolks, and margarine. Beat in milk. Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry, and fold into lemon mixture. Pour into pastry shell and bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until set and golden brown.
