It's a Party at this House!
Hi,
I am a mother of seven so every meal is a "crowd" at our house. We like to do theme dinners for the holidays--red and heart shaped food for Valentines, green for St. Patrick's, crazy food for April Fool's Day and Halloween.
But our favorite "crowd" meals are a tradition we started with our oldest son. We do "theme" dinners for the high school dances. The kids spend so much money eating out that we decided to have fun cooking for them.
We pick a theme, decorate our basement, wear costumes, give them fun favors and feed them a great meal. We have done very casual dance/dinners like a "doggy dinner" or a "medical meal" that was a body made out of food on an "operating table."
Our last meal was a "Robin Hood" theme. We had the basement decorated like a forest. We had pewter dishes. The kids were served Cornish game hens, twice-baked potatoes, corn, salad, soup, and rolls. Dessert was mini cheesecakes made to look like a bullseye with a chocolate arrow.
