You've been nominated; or perhaps your family has issued a decree; or maybe it's simply your turn. No matter what the reason, this year you're hosting Thanksgiving dinner!!!
Hosting the biggest dinner of the year does not need to be a burden; in fact it can be a real pleasure, if you have the right planning and organization.
Personally, I've found that the key to an almost effortless-looking dinner is thinking backwards. Start your Thanksgiving planning by visualizing yourself, surrounded by the family and/or friends you love so much sitting at the dinner table, then work backwards to determine how you got there.
Ask yourself which foods took the least amount of preparation, which took the most. Then start a list by writing these things down.

Now refine the list - but only slightly. Ask yourself what are your family’s favorite recipes for this dinner? Then enlist your families help in preparing those dishes to bring to the table.
Now this is my question to all of you. What are YOUR family’s favorite recipes to serve at Thanksgiving? You know the dish, ‘It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without it!’
Is it the specialty cooked turkey, the creamy potatoes, fresh or canned cranberry relish, that secret stuffing recipe, grandpa’s gravy, the traditional vegetable casserole, or that special pie for dessert?
Submit your favorite and let’s see what the results are. Are you getting hungry? I am!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Love to you all,
Barbara
