Apeeling Tips
Thanks to Jordana for these excellent high altitude tips!
Hi,
I have struggled for over 12 yrs living at 4500' outside Bend, Oregon.
I researched a variety of sites and information. I tried a variety of methods.
Today, I took all the info gathered and made the most wonderful eggs, that peeled effortlessly.
Here goes:
*used eggs that were purchased at least 2 weeks old.
*waited for eggs to be room temp.
*placed eggs in a pot and filled with water 1" over eggs
*added white vineger
*brought to a boil and kept the boil for 5 min.
*turned temp to simmer and covered for 15 min.
*rinsed in very cold water, serveral times.
*cracked top and bottom of egg and rolled.
*PERFECT HARD BOILED EGGS, COOKED PERFECT AND EASY TO PEEL.
( I only waited 12 yrs and many dozens of eggs that were imposible to peel)
