3 Very Easy Halloween H'orderves

By Sydney Hill

Cheesy Mummy

Ingredients:
What you need:
string cheese
pizza sauce
English muffin
sliced olives

Directions:
Place the desired amount of sauce on an English muffin. Tear the string cheese into thin pieces and lay it across the top to look like mummy wrappings. Use two sliced olives for eyes. Bake in an oven or toaster oven until just toasted.

Witches' Fingers

Ingredients:
1/4 cup melted butter
1 1/2 cups peanut butter
3 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon evaporated milk (keeps it together)
pretzel stick
slivered almonds
toothpick

Directions:
First melt your butter, then add it to a bowl with the peanut butter. Add evaporated milk. Start adding powdered sugar (an approximate measurement of 3 cups) until you get the consistency of cookie dough. Then take a pretzel and cover the outside of it with the dough so it starts to take the shape of a finger. Take a slivered almond and press it into one end so it becomes the fingertip. Press the toothpick into the middle of the finger to make the knuckles.

Spooky Brownies

Ingredients:
brownie mix
large marshmallow or ice cream
black decorating icing or chocolate chips
white decorating icing

Directions:
Make brownies as the package describes. Once cooled, cut brownies into squares. Put a large marshmallow on each square using a small dollop of icing to help it stick. Use the black icing to give it a ghostly face. Top with white icing, heated so the consistency is runny. If you prefer the ice cream way, place a scoop of ice cream on each brownie square and use chocolate chips as the face. The ice cream way is kind of fun because it starts to melt and looks a little more ghost-like.

Try these at home or in classrooms for parties! They're extremely easy, but fun all the same (fun to make, display, and of course... eat).

Nutter Butter Ghosts

Ingredients:
Nutter Butter cookies
White chocolate or almond bark

Directions:
Okay, I found this picture online and it looks so cute and fun! I thought I'd add it. It looks to me like it's coated with white chocolate or almond bark. (I guess the title lies, it's 4 h'orderves.)
