Weekly shopping tips:
- This week its all about recipes you can put in your slow cooker. These small appliances are great in the summer because they don't generate a lot of heat in the same way turning on your oven would. Slow cookers are also great for having a meal ready after a long day out enjoying the summer fun!
- 2 cans of spaghetti sauce
- 2 1/2 lbs. ground beef or ground turkey
- 5 cups of mozarella cheese
- I like to buy cheese in bulk at Costco or Sams Club for great savings. To store the excess, I seperate it into freezer bags and store in the freezer.
- Tossed salad, cole slaw, a vegetable tray, and spinach are all suggested sides to this week's meals that do not have their own recipes.
Monday
- Easy Crockpot Lasagna
- Tossed Salad
- Slow Cooker Apple Crisp
Dovetailing Tips:
- Use half of the ground beef or ground turkey tonight, then store the remaing in the freezer for crockpot pizza on Thursday.
Tuesday
Dovetailing Tips:
- "Bake" extra chicken for quick meal of hawaiian haystacks tomorrow night.
Wednesday
- Hawaiian Haystacks
- Spinach Salad
- Slow Cooker Chocolate Lava Cake
Dovetailing Tips:
- Use leftover chicken from last night for haystacks!
Thursday
- Crock Pot Pizza Recipe
- Vegetable Tray
- Slow Cooker Sour Cream Cheesecake
Dovetailing Tips:
- Use remaining ground beef or ground turkey you stored in freezer on Monday
Friday
- Corn Tortilla Chips
- Spicy Queso Dip
- Tossed Salad
- Crock Pot Best Chuck Roast
