Peach Pound Cake

This recipe is perfect for peach season!

Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
6 large eggs, room temperature
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sour cream
2 cups diced fresh or frozen peaches
Whipped cream, optional

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour a 10-in. fluted tube pan. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in extracts. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; add to batter alternately with sour cream, beating well after each addition. Fold in peaches.

Pour into prepared pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 60-70 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely. If desired, serve with whipped cream and additional peaches.
