Stovetop Beef and Shells

I fix this supper when I'm pressed for time. It's as tasty as it is fast. Team it with salad, bread and fruit for a comforting meal.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups uncooked medium pasta shells (about 4 ounces)
1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 can (15 ounces) crushed tomatoes
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Directions:
Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.

Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook and crumble beef with onion and garlic over medium-high heat until no longer pink, 5-7 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until flavors are blended, 10-15 minutes.

Stir in pasta; heat through.
