Cook the pudding mixture according to instructions on the package. Add the additional 2 tablespoons milk to the hot pudding mixture and stir thoroughly. Preheat oven to 350°.
Butter and flour a 9-inch square or round baking dish.
In a large bowl, pour in the chocolate cake mix. Add the prepared pudding mix and blend well. Pour into the baking dish. Sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped nuts on top. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. When cooled, cut into squares or wedges.
